Ignite
All the darkness in the world can't extinguish the light from a single candle.

Youth Ministry

At the Basilica of St. Josaphat we value our youth. They are a wealth of untapped potential — not to save for later, but to nurture right now! Our youth group, Ignited, will give students an opportunity to pray, learn, serve, eat, socialize and grow together through a youth group, service projects, mission trips, retreats, movie nights and other social events as well as diocesan-wide events which include other Catholic youth in the Milwaukee area.

Email Talia if you (parent or teen) would like to be added to the Ignited email group.

Confirmation

High School Juniors (and Seniors) that have not been received the Sacrament of Confirmation will participate in a class every other Sunday from 11am-1pm in the Parish Center. It will follow the "Oneight" model from Life Teen. Students will meet for class, participate in service projects and one retreat and attend the presentation Mass, rehearsal and Confirmation Mass.

Contact Mary Beth Clowney to register at (414) 645-5623.

Arise

All are invited to Milwaukee's newest Catholic prayer event, ARISE! Come be a part of an experience that Milwaukee has never seen before! Arise is the opportunity for Catholics of all traditions, ages, and backgrounds to come together around the traditional rite of Eucharistic Adoration as it is blended with the contemporary charism of praise and worship music. 10+ priests will be available to hear Confessions.

Arise will happen four times each year at different parishes around the city. This is a great opportunity for Milwaukee to rejuvenate its spirit, and we pray that you will take part.

"God will arise" — Psalms 68:2.

For more information see AriseMilwaukee.org.

If you would like to volunteer, contact Talia Fehrenbach.

Saturday, February 18th from 7-9pm at St. Thomas More High School.

Steubenville Conference

July 13th-15th: Steubenvile, OH

We, along with 3 other Milwaukee-area youth groups, will be taking a bus to Steubenville, Ohio for their annual youth conference. We are going from July 13th through the 15th.

Our total cost will be around $300 per teen. We will be doing fundraisers from now until then to lower the cost. This retreat is open to all high school students (whether they just graduated or are heading into high school).

Contact Talia if you are interested in your teen attending. This conference fills up, so you must let Talia know ASAP as she will make the first reservation on January 8th, and the deposit is $50 per teen.

Vacation Bible School

Teens will have an opportunity to help younger students during a week-long Bible school at the Basilica's Parish School this summer. The dates are tentatively set for June 25th-29th. More details are coming soon!

Mission Experience

Instead of heading out to another city, state or country to do mission work, we are going to serve our local community, here in Milwaukee.

This summer we will meet at five different mission locations (one per day for five days), serve our community and then head back to the Parish Center to talk about it and pray for those we served. The dates are tentatively set for July 23rd-27th. More details are coming soon!
